Conveyor Idlers

With a history of innovation, research and development spanning over 30 years, Megaroller is entrenched as a world leading manufacturer of long lasting, innovative and environmentally sound conveyor rollers and conveyor idlers for the mining and bulk material handling industries. Our range of rollers and idlers incorporate patented technologies which prove time and time again to outperform competitors or any similar in class products. The quality and advancement in Megaroller’s range of products address the shortcomings of conventional steel rollers, optimise the efficiency of conveyor systems and maximise conveyor belt longevity to ensure the lowest possible total cost of ownership.

Megaroller produced its first High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) rollers in the early 1980’s and its products have undergone more than 30 years of development, fine-tuning and rigorous testing to ensure a better, longer-lasting and cost-effective conveyor solution. Our products are trusted by large global companies in mining, minerals processing, petrochemicals and agricultural industries in Australia, South Africa, the United States of America, Canada, China, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Chile, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, and Botswana trust our products. Our rollers are manufactured locally, we are proudly Australian.

Design Objective

Now a fifth generation product, the main purpose behind the design of the MEGAROLLER was: - To develop a roller, using the latest technology and advanced materials, so as to improve on the life of the rollers used on conventional conveyors, and to maximise the efficiency of each element within the roller, so that the theoretical lifespan of each element would compliment each other, thereby ensuring a superior product. - To develop a roller which, in the event of eventual bearing failure, would not cause any damage to the conveyor belting, and thereby minimise the running costs of said conveyor. - To produce a roller that consistently performs regardless of extreme environmental changes, harsh working conditions and the problem of chemical and coastal conditions, which attack and destroy conventional steel rollers. - To produce a roller that complies with the standards, specifications and the requirements of the user and incorporates features that surpass the expectations of the end user.
